General information:

  • We’re excited to be having our meetings at Southernside Brewing Co.!
  • A generous donation of caving gear was made by a friend out of Charlotte, will allow for us to complete an extra set of vertical gear for members to borrow. The extras will be raffled off at the October party.
  • Looking for volunteers to help plan the October end of the year party.
  • We invite members to help us with caving events! If you feel your caving skills are holding you back from leading, consider co-leading with someone else. You can help with filing the permit, communicating details, and picking caves, dates, camping locations without being the one to lead the group inside the cave.

You must communicate with the trip leader to join any caving event. Reach out to the trip leader or contact to find out which caves we’re visiting and other details. You can also send us a DM on Instagram or email palmettogrotto@gmail.com to connect with a trip leader. Dues-paying members can use this workbook to see details or sign themselves up — reach out to a grotto officer if you need to gain access.

Administrative updates:

  • We are looking for grotto members to step up and fill the Communications Officer position, responsibilities include managing the social media and email.
